Welcome to the Course!

I am very excited about teaching a new course at IFP: Digital Storytelling for Women. I believe that stories are at the heart of everything we do. They are our connections to the past, the present, and what we hope for the future. In this course, we'll learn basic digital editing skills, to tell our stories. We will do creative writing exercises and work with photographs, video, art, scans (of art, objects; anything we can fit on the scanner bed, really), music, and voice over tracks. By the end of the two day seminar, students will complete their own digital stories.

You can watch some of former students' work from the courses "Digital Storytelling in and with Communities of Color" and "Feminist Media Making: Theory and Practice", at the University of Minnesota, completed short digital stories.

And, if you want to know more about me, read my blog, or visit my website.

Welcome!
